About the Role
We are looking for a hands-on Electronics Technician to support equipment retrofitting, fabrication, maintenance and prototype development across multiple engineering teams.
This is a practical, workshop-based role suited to someone who enjoys building, modifying, repairing and finding solutions to real-world technical problems.
Key Responsibilities
- Retrofit and modify existing equipment.
- Create, modify and terminate cables, wiring and cable looms.
- Work with electronic connectors, plugs and terminations.
- Carry out repair and maintenance of equipment.
- Design and fabricate components and fixtures where required.
- Develop parts for 3D printing and operate 3D printers.
- Work with small CNC machines and assist with fabrication.
- Undertake hands-on assembly, modification and prototyping work.
- Conduct technical research to help develop practical solutions.
- Work across electronics, fabrication and mechanical tasks as required.
- Support the engineering and quality teams with hands-on technical work.
About You
We are looking for someone with strong practical and hands-on technical experience. An engineering degree is not necessarily required.
You may come from an electronics, mechatronics, electromechanical, manufacturing, prototyping, repair or similar technical background.
Ideally, you will have experience with:
- Electronics and electrical hardware.
- Cable and loom assembly.
- Wiring and termination.
- Equipment repair and maintenance.
- Prototyping and fabrication.
- 3D printing and/or CNC machining.
- Hands-on equipment modification or retrofitting.
- Reading and working from technical designs/drawings.
- Practical problem solving and technical research.
Previous project experience will be highly valued.
The Opportunity
This is a full-time permanent position. The successful candidate will have the opportunity to work across multiple teams and contribute to hands-on equipment development, retrofitting, fabrication and ongoing technical projects.
