From the employer

We’re looking for a Junior Test Engineer to join a hands-on engineering team specialising in the testing and qualification of RF and electronic equipment.

This is a great opportunity for an early-career Electrical or Electronics Engineer who enjoys working with hardware, using laboratory test equipment, and developing practical engineering skills in a specialised technical environment.

You’ll work alongside experienced engineers, gaining exposure to RF testing, measurement techniques, test automation and technical reporting.

The Role

You’ll be involved in:

  • Assisting with RF, electrical and environmental testing of electronic equipment.

  • Setting up and operating laboratory equipment, including VNAs, spectrum analysers, oscilloscopes and multimeters.

  • Following test plans, customer specifications and established testing procedures.

  • Recording test results, analysing measurements and helping prepare technical reports.

  • Supporting the development and improvement of test setups, test jigs and measurement processes.

  • Assisting with test scripts and automated testing using tools such as MATLAB or similar software.

  • Learning how international standards are applied to equipment testing and qualification.

  • Supporting senior engineers with troubleshooting, experiments and other engineering activities.

  • Travelling to customer sites when required, with opportunities to gain broader industry exposure.

What We’re Looking For

  • A degree in Electrical Engineering, Electronics Engineering or a related discipline.

  • Some hands-on experience with electronic testing, laboratory equipment or RF systems, gained through university projects, internships, placements or employment.

  • A basic understanding of RF fundamentals, frequency analysis and S-parameters.

  • Familiarity with test equipment such as VNAs, spectrum analysers or oscilloscopes is advantageous.

  • Exposure to MATLAB, Python or other technical tools is a plus.

  • Strong attention to detail and an organised approach to recording and documenting results.

  • A practical mindset, curiosity and a willingness to learn from experienced engineers.

  • Good communication skills and flexibility to travel when required.

Why Consider This Opportunity?

Build your career in a specialised engineering environment where you can develop practical testing skills, work with real electronic hardware, and learn from experienced engineers.

If you’re an early-career engineer looking to move beyond theory and build hands-on experience in RF and electronics testing, let’s have a confidential conversation.
